Pria kelahiran Medan, 22 Juni 1991 setinggi 190 cm ini menyisihkan 6 kiper lainnya yang ikut seleksi timnas U-21. “Saya ingin memberikan yang terbaik, dan siap bersaing menjadi kipper inti di timnas,” tuturnya kepada wartawan, Rabu (11/1).
Berutu menjadi satu-satunya pemain klub Depok yang diasuh Wahyu Ramadani yang lolos seleksi akhir. Tiga rekannya di Persikad, yakni Marta Dinata (gelandang), Imran Idris (gelandang), dan M. Aidil (striker) belum dapat menembus seleksi ini.
